ARTICLES OF FAITH
This church accepts the Holy Bible as the revealed will of God, the all-sufficient rule for faith and practice, and for the purpose of maintaining general unity, adopts the following statements of Fundamental Truths:
1. We believe the Scriptures, the Holy Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
2. We believe in the One True God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of Heaven, Earth, and the Universe and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in the Deity Of The Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God. The Scriptures declare His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitution work on the cross, His Bodily resurrection from the dead, and His exaltation to the Right hand of God.
4. We believe that man was created spiritually innocent and upright; for God said, "Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness." However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God, as recorded in Scripture; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness.
5. We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace (Ephesians 2:8-9), through godly sorrow or repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of Christ on Calvary by which we obtain redemption, forgiveness of sins and eternal life with Christ. The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness. We believe that only the blood of Christ can wash away the sins of mankind when true repentance is demonstrated.
6. The Ordinances of the Church
Water Baptism
The Scriptures command the ordinance of baptism by immersion. All who repent and believe on Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. Water baptism is to be done by immersion. We do not believe in baptismal regeneration. Dedication of children may be requested of the church since the Word of God does not teach infant baptism.
Holy Communion or The Lord’s Table
We believe in the Lord's Table commonly called the Communion, or the Lord's Supper, for believers only. The usage of bread and grape juice shall be served as symbols of the Body of our Lord Jesus Christ and His blood. We do not believe in transubstantiation.
7. The Baptism with the Holy Spirit for all believers. The initial physical evidence of the Baptism with the Holy Spirit is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance according to Acts 2:1-4 and is a promise to all believers. We also believe in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit described in 1 Corinthians 12-14 for the edification of the Body of Christ.
8. We believe that believers should live a life of holiness and sanctification, meaning separation from that which is evil or takes on the form of evil, and of dedication unto God. The Scriptures teach a life of "holiness without which no man shall see the Lord."
9. We believe in Divine Healing, meaning that healing comes from God. We believe that healing was provided in the Atonement according to Isaiah 53:5.
10. We believe in the catching away of the Church according to I Thessalonians 4:16-18
11.We believe in the Millennial Reign of Christ and the Second coming of Christ after the 7 year tribulation to follow the catching away of the Church, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on earth for one thousand years.
14. We believe in the final judgment in which those who rejected Jesus Christ will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be cast alive to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire and brimstone, which is the second death. We believe the soul of man is eternal.
15. We believe in a New Heaven and New Earth for believers as recorded in the Book of Revelation.
